The present incumbent is The Reverend Michael Houston.

Michael & June

Michael and his wife June have had a long and interesting life which has included a wide variety of occupations from owning a textile manufacturing company to Michael being the facilitator for the Camphill trusts three residential villages in Northern Ireland where Michael's brother has lived for many years.

Michaels call to the ministry came late in life and he was ordained as a deacon on the 11th June 1995. After holding other offices he was appointed the priest-in-charge of Ballyphilip and Ardquin in Portaferry on the shores of Strangford Lough. Michael and June then spent eight and a half very happy years there.

They were both very involved with the Camphill Community Glencraig for children and adults with special needs. The residents have become a second family to Michael and June and they know and love them all very much.

Both Michael and June have always been very interested in church and music and these have played an important part in their married life. June was responsible for the organ and choir at Portaferry. For many years June had sung at St Anne’s Cathedral Belfast and Michael was a chorister St Columb’s Cathedral Londonderry. They met in 1967 through being members of the Cathedral Singers in Belfast. After they were married in 1970 they moved to Bramhall Cheshire and became members of the Hallé Choir Manchester for a number of years.

Michael and June arrived in Northern Cyprus at the beginning of September; looking forward to opening a new chapter of their lives at St Andrews
